The Local Artist Touring Alliance (the LATA) is a web resource specifically geared toward the touring artist and touring industry. Our goal is to provide artists with all the resources needed to enable them to tour productively and successfully. The variety of resources that make up the site act as a key to allow new and seasoned touring artists to make the most of this crucial aspect of their careers.
The LATA contains six databases that enable artists and consumers to find all the information they will need to get them on the road. These databases include: Clubs, Promoters, College Venues, Festivals and Conferences, National Show Listings, and Artists. The most important aspect to the LATA is to create a platform for artists to seek other artists who are interested in touring and utilizing each other as a resource. We have to face the facts that the music industry is saturated, so it is hard to get the help or attention of record labels or booking agents.
